Day 1 - Arrival Delhi
After completing immigration and custom formalities you will be met by your local guide who will escort you to a waiting vehicle for your transfer to the Taj Palace/ Taj Mahal Hotel. Depending upon your time of arrival, we will plan your day accordingly.
Day 2 - Delhi
This morning visit Old Delhi, which is a striking contrast to New Delhi. Here are very narrow streets with unregulated traffic of all kinds (where might is always right). The Red Fort, built when the Mughal (Muslim) architecture was at its peak, is surrounded by a 2 km red sandstone wall and houses several splendid buildings. Visit Chandini chowk, and India Gate (war memorial).
Later, in New Delhi, visit the Humayun's Tomb and Qutab Minar.
Day 3 - Delhi to Agra
Early morning overland journey to Agra. Before checking in to your hotel, your guide will take you to the impressive Agra Fort and the world famous Taj Mahal. Despite seeing innumerable pictures of this great monument to love, the sight of it in reality is breathtaking and it will leave you with some long lasting and pleasant memories. Other sites that you will visit include the other Mughal tomb, the I'timad-ud-Daulah, often called the "Baby Taj". In the evening you will drive to the other site of the Yamuna River to see the Taj Mahal from a slight distance during sun-set.
Day 4 - Agra
Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal, there is no view as beautiful as watching the Taj light up with the rising sun! Return to your hotel for breakfast. We will leave this day for leisure and activities such as hot air ballooning, Arga Heritage walk, take an excursion to Fatehpur Sikhri, etc.
Day 5 - Agra to Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur from Agra. Enjoy a half day tour of the Pink City today. You will visit the nearby markets.
Keep the remaining day at rest!
Day 6 - Jaipur
Enjoy a guided tour of the Pink City today. You'll visit the beautiful Amber Fort (11km outside the city), the 18th Century City Palace and the UNESCO protected Jantar Mantar Observatory, which is home to the world's largest sun dial. See the Hawa Mahal too, and enjoy the nearby markets.
Day 7 - Jaipur to Udaipur
The drive takes approximately 7 hours. Enroute visit Chittorgarh Fort. Udaipur is a cool oasis in the dry heart of Rajasthan. It is probably the most romantic city in a state where every city has some romantic or exotic tale to tell.
Enjoy the luxuries at The Lake Palace, and keep the remaining day at rest!
Day 8 - Udaipur
This morning visit the City Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Though it is a conglomeration of buildings built by successive rulers, it manages to retain a surprising uniformity of design and affords fine views of the lake and the city from upper terraces.
Visit the Crystal Gallery in the Fateh Prakash Palace. This amazing museum in Durbar Hall houses the world?s largest cut crystal collection, with ornaments, fountains, vases, crockery, furniture and beds. Continue your journey to Sahelion-Ki-Bari Park, the Garden of the Maids of Honor on the shores of the second major lake of Udaipur, Fateh Sagar.
This afternoon set out on a boat ride on Lake Pichola (subject to water levels). There is no more delightful way to see this city. You will also have time to spend in the bustling market that sprawls behind the City Palace Complex.
Day 9 - Udaipur to Jodhpur
Jodhpur, the second largest city of Rajasthan, was once the capital of the Marwar state. It was founded in 1459 A.D. by Rao Jodha-chief of the Rathore clan of Rajputs who claimed to be descendants of Rama - hero of the epic 'Ramayana'. Explore the streets of Jodhpur that reveals one of the most vibrant and colorful cities in Rajasthan. The bazaars sell all manner of goods, with locally made specialties including tie-dye fabrics, puppets and lacquered jewelry. Keep the remaining time at rest!
Day 10 - Jodhpur
Today visit the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort. 'Mehrangarh', meaning the Majestic Fort is one of the largest forts in India. Located at the centre of the city the fort spreads over 3 miles. Keep the remaining day sprawling in the markets, or at leisure.
Day 10 - Jodhpur
Enjoy a morning jeep safari to a Bishnoi Village. The Bishnoi are a rural tribal group of Hindu sect founded in the Punjab. The Bishnoi follow the teaching of Jambeshwar, a 15th-century sage and religious reformer who left a legacy of 29 (bis noi) tenets. The countryside around Jodhpur is home to many tidy Bishnoi villages and family compounds. These gentle communities of potters, weavers, leather embroiderers and camel herders have achieved world acclaim for their religious conservationist beliefs.
Day 11 - Jodhpur to Delhi / Departure
